除了巡游之外，Chobi mela 的另一大固定节目就是夜航布里甘加河（Buriganga River）。孟加拉国位于世界上最大的泛滥平原之一的顶端，三条大河（贾木纳河、梅克纳河、恒河）在平原上迂回曲折最后由恒河口注入孟加拉湾，流向斯里 兰卡。小型渡船是达卡市民横渡布里甘加河的主要方式，位于闹市的渡口总是挤满了乘客和船工。

当地时间1月30日下午，Chobi Mela V 摄影节在孟加拉首都达卡开幕。来自全世界的参展者在孟加拉国家博物馆附近进行了盛大的游行，国家博物馆内随后举行了开幕式，大批摄影师和市民参观了揭幕展《自由之路——尼尔逊.曼德拉》。
